Whilst out riding yesterday, after descending through a recently harvested forest, rough and bumpy but nothing too extreme, on climbing again, the motor on my Rail 7 cut out.
I have fitted a Kiox 200 display in place of the original Purion and when trying to turn the motor on again the screen momentarily illuminates but all it shows is a short under score line or minus sign in the centre of the screen, no codes. This then disappears and the screen shuts down after a couple of seconds.
I started to pedal home, luckily on flat roads, regularly trying to turn the motor on when, after a couple of miles, it came to life again and got me home under power.
Has anyone else had this issue and more importantly, does anyone know what the screen was telling me?

Sounds like battery disconnection. Have you checked the flow app to see if any errors were recorded?

I think you mean Purion 200 as there is no Kiox 200 afaik?

Guess that the Kiox display became momentarily disconnected from it's cradle on the rough ground, or your wiring is not perfectly secure.

Also suggest putting a leash on the display (search the forum for this).

Sorry, meant Kiox 300 not 200 and I already have it 'leashed' to the bike. Also the fit of the display was first thing I checked and it was located firmly.
I did fit a new 625wh battery about a month ago so maybe that has something to do with it,. Maybe I'll start carrying the key with me on future rides to allow battery removal, fiddling and refitting.
What I don't understand is why no codes came up on the screen, just a thick one of these _ which disappeared after a couple of seconds when the bike says "see you" and goes dead.
I have two Rails and both have Volspeed modules fitted so, maybe superstitiously, I don't go anywhere near them with any apps.
I'll probably drop the motor, remove the Volspeed module which is tucked up inside the frame, give all connections a good clean and ask my LBS to plug it into their examiner.
Thanks for your comments.
