Trek Battery cover question

So how does one go about carrying a spare battery around for a bike such as a trek powerfly? It has an internal 500wh battery. Presumably I have to buy another battery cover for the new battery and presumably other parts too? This seems a bit of a pain as I’ll have to try and find the correct colour cover and they are over £100. Any ideas?
