Trails near Glasgow?

I am working in Glasgow soon and intend to bring my bike with me. I have some time free on 3 & 4th May- can anyone recommend some scenic trails to visit?

Depends on what type of riding you do, but if its a bit of enduro. you might need to travel abour 75-90 mins, either to the Borders or up to Dunkeld way.

Cathkin braes. Bit short and tame.

I had some input on building this and got to ride it before opened.
