Meet at 10.15am for a 10.30 kick off at Barrowburn Car Park.
There is actually 3 ways to start the ride ..myself I would prefer the most direct route over Middle Hill / Hazely Law to get up to the Border Ridge ..where we lose all of our hard earned height on the drop down over the border to Cocklawfoot in Jockland ..from there a pleasant road section (where if you keep a keen eye out you may see some free range haggis roaming around) to Belford the small hamlet not the village .. where we turn left to climb up onto " The Street " ..an ancient Drove Road which we follow for a fair few miles until we hit the road at Slymefoot with a short hop back to the cars ..
Although there are some cracking descents it's one of those rides where you think you have climbed more than you've dropped ..approx 3500 to 4000ft ( can't remember exactly )
There are a few potential victims ..err I mean riders who have expressed an interest already ..six at the last count ..if you would like to join the fun please add your name below ..
