THE NEW ELECTRIC WHYTE E150

I have a Whyte T130 RS which is a fantastic bike. I have therefore purchased a Whyte E150RS for the big mountain days. I noticed the wiring protrudes from the lower engine casing but was assured this would not hinder the bike. Having ridden it approximately 10 times I beg to differ. The wire is the first thing to impact everything from large rock gardens to tree routes and had caused significant damage to the wire. Does anyone know if this wire can be rerouted.
