T Type not powering up via Bosch motor

Hi All. I’m just building up a new Rail+ 9.5 with my preferred components and decided to buy a plugin wired power adaptor to the T Type derailleur from the gen 5 motor. Installation was simple and the plug was colour coded on the male end of the lead and the motor port and it clicked in nicely.

The issue is that it doesn’t work even with the bike powered up. I’ve unclipped the plug on the derailieur and put my battery back in and it worked fine. What I’m I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance. Matthew.

Have you had the port on the motor enabled by a Bosch agent?

I’m not exactly sure but I believe it’s the same motor port that is used for a controllable light system. That port supplies power to the light system or wireless (Bluetooth) derailer. Needs to be initially activated, or turned on, by your LBS or a Bosch certified dealer.

The powered AXS derailer can then draw power from the main battery (when wired), or from the small remote battery when used.

I use both systems on both bikes. No issues at all.

Hi Jack. No not yet, it’s brand new never ridden. I’ll give my Trek dealer a call on Tuesday morning when they open. Thanks, Matthew.
