Hey All,

So odd issue. My Canyon came with the SW-EM800 switch for changing modes. It got smashed up (but still works). So ordered a new one however the new one wont allow me to turn on the bike. If i unplug it and turn the bike on, all works fine with the old busted switch. The second I plug in the new one the bike turns off haha. Feel like im going mad. Surely the unit is defective?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

I had similar with our Liv and a replacement button/switch/power etc.. That was running a Yamaha setup. It needed a Firmware update by the local shop (mine wouldn't work) and worked straight away. Not exactly the same of course, but you never know.

Hey! Thanks for the reply. Interesting, so even though it's the exact same model switch I guess it could be a newer version out the factory that needs updating? Will give my local place a call and see if that's something they do. Much appreciated!

Well i'd speak to Canyon and ask, but i'm not convinced you'll get far with a random 'bot' on chat.. I was lucky that my LBS is a Giant/Liv dealer so sorted it easily (for £35)

Does the etune app recognize it and pair with it?
Hey. Thanks for the reply. I have the SC-EN600 computer which I'm pretty sure doesn't have BT? Correct me if I'm wrong though. Never seen any options for Bluetooth connectivity when scanning the screens menus. Would a computer with BT potentially solve this? Cheers!

I have the same switch and controller as you do - it's definitely BT compatible and should connect to the eTube app.

Hey! Thanks for the reply. I was under the impression the SC-EN600 needs the SW-EN600 Switch to use BT based off this post here Link. How did you go about connecting it with the SW-EM800? Theres no mention of the device on the eTube app or BT in the settings. Thanks!

Haha no worries! Looking to by that now anyway as struggling for ideas before this weekend. What width bars do you use with that EN600 switch? All the sites say its a 22.2mm clamp. Cheers :)

EDIT- Ignore me. Was thinking about computer clamp diameter. Switch should be fine.

It has bt but first your phone needs to discover it, and then turn on the en600 last in the sequence. I had a hard time connecting with my cell phone when the battery was low so give it a charge. I use my phone b/c i have the etune and emax apps loaded on it so i can use it to monitor tune stuff on the trail.
