Stuck Cranks on Bosch Gen 5

Hi there,

during a trail ride today suddenly my cranks were stuck. I first thought a wrong gear and too low power setting, so I switched to Turbo and it moved a few turns and was stuck again.

Turning the cranks backwards is no problem. Chain ring does not move backwards, I cant move the bike backwards and can‘t paddle forward.

Any ideas?

Bike is only 1,5 months old so there will be warranty anyway but well who knows how long this will take again. And I would also know what could be wrong for the future.

Found some old threads with similiar problems due to washing and longer standing times. But here the bike was working perfectly 1,5 hours already on that ride.

first step is to remove the chain and check crank movement..............

Hi. Thanks. Yea will try again but free hub seems to work if you mean this. Will clean it tomorrow and look at it again.

I'd suggest check jockey wheels aren't seized, chain links arent bent, nothing is in the cassette to cause it to lock up, freehub. After that I think the only thing is the motor internals

As said earlier, if you get the chain off the chainring then turn the pedals, that way you'll know if it's motorbor transmission.
