For those that use Strava, I know for others it's the Devil's work ...
I use it to give me a vague idea of if I'm improving, finding new trails and seeing where I went when I was lost.
I'm lucky, as a newby, I have lots of scope for improvement. Looking at my times I can see that in 6 months I've gone from "Abysmal" and significantly improved to "Really Bad". Though the last few weeks have also brought about a huge drop off in bruising and no fractures for 3 months - so you don't need Strava for everything.
Found this last night, Kilmat.app , just goto the website of that name and click add to join it to your strava account. It adds the weather information into the ride description.
