I know I'm no hyper climber ... but looking at this I now feel like I never get off the flat .. feck.

For instance :

There's some crazy heights in there !

4th Chris Crane : 31,500 meters in two rides .. So he rode up Everest TWICE on each ride !
6th Dave Armitage: 19,500 meters on one ride .. Two and half * Everest ... in one ride ..

I need to re-evaluate what a decent climb is on a ride.

I know a friend ran up and down the equivalent of everest 2.5* this week in only 16 minutes .. so it is possible ..

I guess just because he's based there doesn't mean he rides there ? He could have done a quick lap of Scotland and Wales ?

Or maybe it should say Epsom Salts, but he pressed Enter too soon ?

The guy in 6th has his longest ride listed as 2,000 km's !!! These people really make us look like lazy pussies !

On my ride out yesterday I climbed just over 2000 ft and thought I had done well.

Easy: use a Garmin. I was in the Alps a couple of years ago and wondering why my Garmin was showing my climb rate in negative numbers. It had the altitude as 35kms...

I think some of them are GPS errors ..

This guy for instance :

810m climb in 40k : Afternoon Ride - Aaric Timms's 40.5 km bike ride

4500m of 50k of the same route back and forwards : Cycled followed by... - Aaric Timms's 52.1 km bike ride

Or this guy : 9500m climb Watopia - Ronald Tabaric ?? BZH's 237.2 km bike ride

But it's a virtual ride ..
