Got myself a spare battery for long days out etc but it will probably only get used occasionally. What is the best way to store it if not using it for a while

Keep it charged about 60-80% and charge it full when needed

Agree about short term storage 60-80%. For extended storage, owners manual advises 30-39% and charging up to this at least every 3 months.

Spoke to the guys at bikescene today and that’s what they recommend about 30-40%

Yeah, I reckon, really a summary of other threads:
Ride next day, max 100% , maybe less for a shorter ride.
Ride in a couple of days, max 80%
Ride in a week or more, 30-39%
Extended storage, 30-39%, charge up to this every couple of months, 3 months max.
