Still not 100%

Got the cube 160sl ordered which comes in a week or two,but I'm still not 100%
You see,I've always wanted the levo,now the so called reliability issue is not massively concerning as specialized seem top notch,and I'm sure that they have as many if not more happy customers that we dont here so much about..its the looks and that super quiet motor that just get me thinking am.i settling for less than I want..anyway,the cube is £1500 cheaper,I'll probably have as much fun..what do people think ? Is the levo worth paying that bit more for ? I would go for the standard version but with my healthy extra beef I'll truley appreciate the 700wh battery and 90nm quiet motor...I've changed my mind a few times...OPINIONS PLEASE ..

my opinion ..... always get what you want. life is too short not to. im sure you will enjoy your cube and it will do exactly what you want , but if your heart is elsewhere ........

Buy the cube that is £1500 more expensive than the one you’ve ordered, bet its 10x the bike the levo is. Cant really compare the 2 with such a big price gap.

No is the simple answer, the more complex answer is that riding a bike you think is cool obviously plays a big factor in purchasing.
The Levo and the Cube 160 are very different bikes though, one is a 29r trail bike, and the other is a 27.5 Enduro bike.

If you are looking at spending 5-6k some of the best bikes in the market sit within that price range

look at what you can get from the likes of Radon, YT, Vitus, Trek, Orbea etc etc.

The Levo is a great bike, but it’s also very expensive for what it is - you are paying for the fact Specialized have gone down a proprietary route and the development cost associated with that.

the most important thing is getting a bike that fits, is suitable for the riding you want to do, and has the features you want.

In my decades of riding motorcycles I've learnt over time to get what you want cause something else will always be seen as...it's ok but. Jeez I've wasted some amount of cash over the years jumping from bike to bike.

As for those in of which you speak, Spesh have always been dearer than most and have always been nice bikes but I've never been able to convince myself they were worth the extra cash, note I say convince and not justify, I believe there in lies the difference.

About 3-4years ago I was working in Wales and stuck my nose in tredz Swansea,had a look at the levo and wanted one,I eas also moving Into my new home so put it in the back burner...forward to a month or so and I'm looking at emtb again..now I'm already a cube fan and weve got a few fantastic local ish shops for me to browse...cube looked good,not levo good but very decent.now looks to one side the cu e was cheaper,much cheaper with a great component list,large battery and good motor..other side of the coin is that silent powerful brose and even larger battery..oh and it looks stunning..subjective I understand

Not at all,its part of it but so is the near silent motor and larger 700wh motor...on the flip side I love the cubes price,I'm not a huge 29 wheel fan,hence going the 160 over 140..my little list in head is/was local buy,price sensitive,brand,looks..if your current bike was bright pink would you buy it ? Is my list or choice perfect,no,will I want to change in 12 months,probably maybe who the hell knows .the haibike flyon was a contender based purely on its motor...

I’m not familiar enough with the Cube. Telling you to get the Specialized because I happen to have one is pointless.

I say stick with your gut. You spent countless hours on the decision to get the Cube. Spend that amount of time to undo your previous decision.

Cube turns up back end of the month,so very soon really..unless I get a discounted levo or 100s tell me to go levo because they are so much better then I will own a cube possibly this week.
Either way I'm going to enjoy riding as much as possible

The short answer is no.
As mentioned, they are two different bikes - kind of like buying a V-Sytrom or a DR650.
Standing on the outside looking in (could be lyrics for a song there) I would say the 700Wh battery as the only valid point. However, unless you are doing long point to point rides, spending some of the savings on a spare battery might possibly a way better route to go.

The Brose may be quieter but I dont think there is much performance difference between the Bose and 4th gen Bosch. Components you can change so thats not a big deal either. What defines a bike is the fit and geometry. Having owned both Cube and Spesh I think both are well made. So really it boils down to whether you want a trail bike or an enduro...a 29er or 27.5 in terms of your binary choices. I would be happy with either provided there was a local dealer.

Years ago, I was working alongside a boat builder who was also a very successful salesman for luxury level powered catamarans, 40 foot and over. Expensive beasts... and you might've heard the expression, "a boat is like a hole in the water where you continually throw money into."

Anyway he told me this... apparently true for every single sale he's made. He said that a typical buyer will do research and make an informed decision on which boat to buy. Then after making the decision, they'll walk into the dealership and start looking for reasons to talk themselves out of it. Classic case of buyer's anxiety fuelled by the possibility of buyer's remorse.

I asked, so what do you do? He said, he just settles their nerves and takes them out for lunch and talk about how much fun the fishing or cruising lifestyle brings - deliberately avoiding any discussions regarding the issues and details they brought with them. Nine times out of ten, they go ahead with the purchase.

Unfortunately you walked into a forum that can give you as many reasons to get or not to get the bike you've already ordered.

So ahem (clears throat), I'll pretend to be which ever dealer you'd like me to be:

Tell you what,that salesman is absolutely right.tbats exactly how it is,and what I want to hear is one of two things,firstly."dont be crazy,the cube is an absolute steal,the new bosch is superb and with that battery you'll not get better"...or secondly,"the levo might be a few more pounds but its hands down the best bike on the market,you would be mad not to spend the extra and get it"...or ultimately tell me to **** off and nobody gives a **** what I get?

If it makes you feel any better, I had the exact same dilemma and I purchased the Cube Action team 140. In all honesty I just like the feel of the Bosch (and Shimano for that matter) better than the Brose...completely subjective. Whoever mentioned the geometry of the bike had the right answer...which ever bike you feel better on is the one you buy...full stop!

I mind I bought a brand new GS, always huffed and puffed about whether I was doing the right thing or not, even on the day I picked it up, never liked the colour, enjoyed riding the bike but never quite could get my head round the colour, safe to say the GS didn't last long.

I have a 140 Cube. Rode before and after several bikes (Cube 160, Cube 120, Spez, Trek, and a bunch off others). Like them all. All are different caracter bikes. Very diferent experience to have a consistence ride over time, and have the opportunity to fine tunnig it with the same bike, agains one day ride, but I had made my preferences.
At the end I´m very happy with the Cube. Good bang for the my small pocket (as I have several riders in the familly). Easy to swap bike with more frequence as I lose less money. Good after market experience with local dealer. Maybe Spez could provide a differente level of experience for those wo like to interact more with software and stuff like that. At the end follow your hearth is my advice.
