So I've been looking for a frame bag to fit in the lower part of the frame below the shock. Not finding any quite right and being stuck in I decided to have a go making my own.

I began by deconstructing an old backpack I had laying around.

Then made a template of the shape I wanted

Once I had my pieces cut I got with the sewing. No expert here, but the thickest stuff I had to hand was this light colored twine so went with that. Some passing of thread backward and forward ensured and some time past until I was left with this

But turned inside out it wasn't too bad

Very much a Mk1, I added some straps. I used the plastic clips on the backpack to secure for now, but will switch to Velcro when I can source some later on

After a quick test fit, there is a bit more jiggery-pokery to be had with the position but overall pleased with today's efforts (y)

Oh, and a bit of scale as to what fits ;)

Cheers. I wanna add some stitching to the seat post strap to try and get the bag further toward the front of the bike, and add Velcro to the straps and I'll be happy.

This was my work over the last week. Put a new Stans DART tool in the small space above the upper shock mount. Used 3M plastic and epoxied a spare handpump bracket into place. Then used a couple O-rings top and bottom to keep it from sliding. Figure Ill never forget it in the event of a flat (y)
