After about 3-4 weeks of not using the Levo, I finally managed to get out for the club ride last Thursday evening, only to find after about 2miles the one way clutch on the crank arm started slipping ?
I nursed the bike home and stripped it down to the motor to find that something had failed internally.
I phoned up Specialized UK who advised me to take it into a Specialized dealer for repair, however when I rang around the Midland stores no one had parts in stock or a bike for me to use whilst it was being fixed (I was off to the Peaks the next day). This is where Chris and Darren at Berkshire Cycles came to the rescue.
They had a motor on the shelf and within 5 minutes of me speaking to them, they called me back saying Specialized would provide a motor FOC, all I had to do was cover the labour charge as it's out of warranty.
Within 20 minutes of me arriving there, the motor was changed tested and I was ready to go back home. I could not believe the level of excellent service I received from the guys at Berkshire Cycles, well worth the 180mile round trip.
Big thanks to the guys at Berkshire Cycles, they came to rescue which allowed me to go riding the next day in the Peaks with some friends I had not seen in ages.
