• Warning!!

Riding a tuned or deristricted EMTB is not a trivial offence and can have serious legal consequences. Also, many manufacturers can detect the use of a tuning device or deristricting method and may decline a repair under warranty if it was modified from the intended original specification. Deristricting EMTB's can also add increased loads for motors and batteries. Riding above the local law limit may reclassify the bike as a low-powered bike, requiring insurance, registration and a number plate.

Be aware of your local country laws. Many laws prohibit use of modified EMTB's. It is your responsibility to check local laws. Ignoring it, has potential implications to trail access, and risk of prosecution in the event of an accident.

I’ve just derestricted my Cube the downside is the speedo stops around 14mph . My son who also has derestricted his bike but his tell you the real speed.
So looking to put a wireless Speedo on does anyone have a recommendation?

Thanks for that , I’ve just ordered one from Amazon , are they easy enough to set up ?

The setup is not as user friendly as I would like. Perhaps if you use the default settings, it would be ok. I like to program in the exact circumference of my wheel, so it takes a couple extra steps. Or maybe you're smart enough that it will be easy-peasy.

There are two buttons on the back that are used to set up everything. The instruction sheet is about one meter square, written in tiny print, in every language on Earth. By some miracle, though, I'm able to program the unit every time I need to change something. I don't to it frequently, otherwise I'd remember the steps and be able to tell you.

This inconvenience aside, I like this model because of the uncluttered screen and big characters. It has several display modes, but I just leave it set to show me speed and trip distance. That's all I care about.
