Whilst trying to connect my wife's Specialized App to her Strava account, I keep getting a red bar stating "Strava failed to connect"
Normally you would get a green tick to show it's connected as it is with my Apple Health account.

Mine was connected and working fine for last 6 months, at the end of a ride it would upload my Levo ride to my Strava account automatically.

After trying everything I know but still failing to get her Spec app to connect to her Strava, I stupidly tried disconnecting my Spec App from my Strava account and now mine wont reconnect again stating the same red bar message "Strava failed to connect"

Access is set to "enable" on Strava Data permissions.

Anyone else having this issue? My guess... it's a software glitch.

Yes. Myself and a friend. Happened when I followed Specialized instructions in their recent email. Don’t know if it is related but saw this weeks ago:

mine stopped working, I think a reinstall got it working.

It seems to frequently have problems though. Also I notice the auto stop seems to have stopped working now, I frequently record the car journey home now too!

why use the Spesh App to connect to Strava when you can start Strava direct on your phone.........and you are then only working with the Strava server rather than going through another app?

Am fully aware of this but the idea being I only have to use one app (Specialized) to operate multiple bikes, adjust tunes for given ride and record the ride. It then should upload automatically to Strava. If Specialized don't fix the issue then I will have to revert to using the Strava app as well. I tend to do my Strava analysis on a PC.

Thanks for the heads up. Yes I bet this exactly why!
I did speak to Specialized yesterday and they are aware of other users with same issue, so hopefully they will get a fix out soon.

Ok but they are not mutually exclusive. The Spesh app is primarily there to access the and control/tune the firmware. I see no benefit in then also using it as a gateway to another app if for no other reason than it means another server in the communications path.

I wonder if the problem you experienced has more to do with Strava than the Spesh app. Strava gathers information which private and if you register on their platform and then store data direct on their platform they can guarantee privacy. Accepting data via another server may in their eyes breach that security.

My Specialize app seems to be working just fine and is still uploading to Strava OK. Maybe try reinstalling the app.
