Spare Giant battery

I am looking to buy a spare Giant 625wh battery for my Trance XE1 Pro 2021 to carry out on the trail. My questions are:
a) when people take the spare battery on the trail, is it already connected to a spare battery cover or do people swop batteries but use the existing battery cover; and
b) What is the best ebike backpack which fits the battery (or the battery with cover fitted)

the Battery comes with the plastic painted to the colour of the bike . Once you put the battery in the plastic it would be very hard to remove without breaking it . They are very heavy and I wouldn’t want to carry it out riding . I get +60km and 1000m with my 625 watt on my 2020 stance pro on automatic mode .
