for those who have taken motor covers off, is there any spare space in there to fit a small gps tracker, so I can tap off the battery too?

Yeah in the 2018 there is, and you’ll get 6 bolts out of the light output on the motor.

I'd say yes. Don't know how big the GPS trackers are though. There is a decent gap.

Another good place is up in the frame above the battery... but easier to reach for the bad guys as well.

I'll update people as I go. tracker ordered from China - actually, 2 - one with micro usb charging, one that I can attach to battery. Not paranoid, but will see which fits best. Will put limited info up on here, obviously.....
