Software update or not?

I picked up my levo last May, all has been well with no issues to report, today I was in my local shop for some brake disc cleaner and it was suggested my bike was returned for a software update, now with anything electrical an update isn't necessarily an improvement, any advice appreciated before its too late.

That last few updates have fixed bugs in the software and improved overall efficiency.
I wouldn't worry about it

How do software updates happen? Do they come via the app and once it connects to the bike the update happens?

Just a side note, if your bike is software derestricted, it won't be able to be derestricted after the update.

Whats the latest firmware ? mines currently 6.10 ?

Mine is still stock so nothing to worry about with that, but I just wanted to check that an update would not be detrimental
