Attempting the Llanberis trail on the 25th with a friend who is training for mega avalanche in July (he's bought his ticket).

Any advise for this trail as will be attempting it on my Giant Trance E2 Pro. I walked it in the summer and found it quite easy as a walk if that gives you an idea on my fitness.

Thanks

Good luck.
I did it in July. Rode up the Llanberis path, and down the rangers.
It will probably be icy/snowey close to the summit. A mate walked up last weekend and close to the summit was treacherous under foot, due to the freezing conditions..
Take plenty of spare tubes. I split my tyre wall on the decent.
Oh and start early to avoid the walkers...
I left Llanberis car park at 6am, albeit it was July and light...

Thanks Peter.
Good to know and good idea about carrying a few inner tubes.
Aiming to start at 8am and see how we go. Was thinking of doing the Rangers path.
What's it like as, in does it have many drops? I'm looking for brilliant views and not a sort of black run if you know what I mean.

Thanks

We went up the Llanberis and down the Rangers. I would advise against going up the Rangers as there's agood few gnarly bits, a few drops and steps. You won't be able to get up unless you get off your bike.
Even on the Llanberis towards the summit, you will have to get off.
Its a gamble getting Good views. Obvs check the forecast...
