Unanswered SLX (m7120) brakes I spec ev compatibility with XT shifter I spec II

I need some help as Shimano are very confusing with I spec compatibility. I have SLX (M7120) brakes I spec ev and now want to switch to 11 speed XT drivetrain. I want to attached XT shifter (M8000) I spec II to the same brake clamp but it is not compatible. Does anybody know the best option? Thanks.
