Shorter crank?

So I'm thinking of dropping from 170mm cranks to 160mm for a few reasons.

#1, to help avoid pedal strikes, also because the stock crank has too much overhang past the pedal mount.

#2, I'm right between a medium and a large size bike, I went for medium and I'm thinking it might be cramping me the tiniest bit, with my seat at anything less then full height I feel my knee comes up a bit too high on the top of the stroke, and a smaller crank will help alleviate that.

#3, I do a bit of riding on flat as well and I feel like when I'm riding on my smallest sized cog to help with maintaining top speed that I have trouble keeping my cadence at a spot where I feel resistance on the pedals. I can't increase my chainring size past 34 due to chainstay clearance, so from what I've researched I believe that the shorter cranks will help a bit with the higher cadences?

I'm thinking of buying the Ethirteen espec 160mm Bosch gen 4 crank, having them installed and then having the bike shop install the 'small crank' Bosch firmware.

Would love any input from anyone that has downsized or has any thoughts. Is my logic right?
