Are there any couriers who will ship an Ebike battery from one U.K. address to another?

l've looked online and other forums but can't get a definitive answer.

The argument seems to be, whether or not an Ebike battery is classed as "fitted in a device" because it's in a case with BMS circuitry and a connector on one end.

Send it whilst connected to a charger? Then get the person at the other end to send the charger back.

It's not. Former DG shipper specialising in Lithium batteries here.

l know, you can buy them from dealers and they somehow ship them, but l want to buy one from a private seller and we can't find a courier who will ship it.

Have you tried UPS?

Technically, as long as the box is the correct specification, has the correct markings and the correct paperwork it's ok to ship. The reason shops can ship is they have all that in place from the distributor.

ln the end the bike shop sent DPD, they must have some sort of contract to do it.
