Are the only differance between the two, color dislpay and the ability to dim the display?

I think the E8000 display can also show you the level of assistance the motor is providing, but only with the E8000 (and EP8?) motor.

The E8000 is also less compatible when connecting wirelessly to other devices (like Garmins) - for some reason the E8000 display uses different Bluetooth and ANT formats than the other STEPS displays.

[ The EM800 display is the EP8 version of the E8000 and uses the same wireless connectivity as the E7000 - but has different cable connections. ]

[ @jimbob the E8000 display is not compatible with the EP8 motor. ]
