Has anyone fit 2mm rotors on these brakes? I was thinking of using magura mdr-c

Also if anyone has changed the lever or lever blades with these brakes?

Are you experiencing problems with them ?

Although they are an entry level brake, they do have a reasonable reputation for being a decent brake. The only problem I've read about them is the come with resin pads and are pretty useless in the wet. But by simply by changing those pads to an aftermarket non shimano brand in sintered, they are considerably better.

The brakes are actually good. The issue I believe is either the disc's or pads are overheating on long steep descents. They are sintered pads.
The rotor turned purple, and the pads seem to get glazed pretty quick.
I've sanded and re-bed them in twice but it still happens.

These are like steep 800 to 1000 meter descents and I weigh around 210lbs. I don't drag the brakes much and ride pretty fast.

So I'm just looking for more heat dissipation and not worried about power.

I just bought mtx gold pads so I was thinking of switching rotors as well.
