Hi, I've recently started to get an issue when charging my BT-E8010 battery with the EC-E6000 charger.
After charging perfectly normally, when it gets up to an estimated 90% of charge the orange LED on the EC-E6000 starts to blink. On the BT-E8010 battery the first light stays green and the second light flashes. The manual states this is a "charging error".
When I use the battery on the bike it has all five green lights but it doesn't take long to drop down to 4 bars, then the rest of the usage seems normal. It's as if the battery only charges up to 90%.
So is there anything I should be worried about or does this sound like typical behaviour after having the bike for 4 years?
I'm tempted to get a new battery and use this one as a spare or range extender but the £500 price tag is putting me off. I take it there's no alternatives and a new BT-E8010 is my only option?
Thanks.
