Wedding Crasher
I've had my Shimano flat shoes for years and years. The fold over flap was the victim of too many pedal strikes and bramble tears and had to be held together with Gorilla tape.
Then I caught my foot on a tree stump and opened up the seam between the sole and the upper. That required hot melt glue. While I was at it, I cut up an old inner tube and made some flaps to replace the Gorilla tape that was looking well past its best!
But recently, my foot has started to slip on the pedals, mostly because the pins have worn holes in the sole on one side and the pattern off the other. So, it's finally time to replace the old faithfuls, but with what?
Fortunately, several years ago, I saw the way the wind was blowing and I bought a pair of AM41's to replace the old ones.
Out with the old and in with the new!
By the way, I haven't thrown the old ones away just yet. I'll take offers?
