Servicing BB on steps e8000

Hi guys,

I'm getting some creaking sounds from around my bottom bracket area when pedalling hard so I'm just wondering is it the same technique for servicing the bottom bracket (shimano hollowtech 2) as it is with a non emtb or is it different with the motor being in that area

STEPS E8000 Motor Service

I've just serviced my E8000 motor and replaced some bearings, it's now working quietly and smoothly like new. If anyone needs any advice, I've got the bearing numbers and some pictures to help see what goes where. Gimme a shout if you are stuck.

The bolts that fix the motor to the frame and the interface chain/front ring is where this kind of noise came from om my E8000.

Did you manage to stop it creaking by tightening the motor and chain ring up?

Yes for the bolts that hold the motor.
The chainring was not loose, the noise came from the chain and ring interface when I changed the ring for the first time and used an aftermarket ring and chains. This noise appears only when pedaling hard and only stopped when I put on new original shimano 1x11 components again.
