Im about to buy a second powertube 625 battery second hand.
The seller says it's from showroom models ( as they put a new battery in the showroom model when it gets sold).
It has been tested a 94% full charge.
But how can I see how old the battery is?

I don’t know how you could see how old it is, but I have a powertube 626 horizontal at the “for sale” section wich is two weeks old.

Stock aint a problem here.

I see, I worry because my bikeshop said a while ago that bosch battery's lose 6 % each year, even if it doesn't get used of used alot
This is misleading. Take two batteries with say 75 full cycles, that are both two years old. One has been used mainly in eco/tour and stored half charged somewhere nice and cool. The other has been thrashed on a bike fitted with a speedbox, in turbo all the time and stored fully charged on the bike in a hot shed with a tin roof.

The first battery will be perfect. The second one will be close to knackered.

May be useful info to someone. My battery 6 June 2019 . Done 5600 miles and still showing 100 percent health . I tested it six months ago on the same settings and route that I tested it on when I got it and still the same. Got 42 miles with 1000 metres of climbing and about 10 percent left.

This is a good reminder for everyone; when you get a service on your bike, ask for the diagnostic report on the battery as part of that service, i don’t think I was given one when i purchased my bike but it will be something I do when i go back for a check-up. I have also been making enquiries into purchasing a second battery, but can only buy them new from what I can find here. Perhaps thats the way to go but they are very expensive to buy new.
