Hi all,
Just joined forum.
Still on analog bike (Upgraded fuel ex9,7 from 2022 - prev. gen)
But looking for something suitable for all day in saddle ( but using a lot of man power) mostly trail but with 140-160mm travel as minimum.
Tested couple different bikes already:
Trek rail - too much power for me, and to heavy
Orbea rise - range and powerwise ok (didn’t even use highest level of assistance), alu version a bit to heavy, and to loud (knocking during downhill is so annoying)
Transalpes Trail (with small maxon motor), excellent handling, super quiet, requires a lot of effort from, rider unfortunately non removable tiny battery (250wh) - a bit unknown reliability.
Spec turbo levo, super strong and very natural (way better than ep8 or bosch), quiet but heavy like hell.
Now waiting for a bit warmer days to test Fuel
Exe and shuttle sl.
Ideal would be child of turbo levo and transalpes
Quiet, natural, with decent range. I used to do 20-40km a day with 1000-1500m of altitude on my bio-bike (in Alpes) so something that will allow to add ca.50% would be perfect.
Also looking for something for my better half - but here cheaper and lighter. Rather hardtail on 27,5+ or 29”. Here we will go for Decathlon 520 - price is so low that not big risk associated with purchase.
