Has anyone upgraded their tires to the S-WORKS Fast Trak or Renegade? This choice saves 1.3 lbs on a set but at what cost for sidewall protection?

Both of those tires have terrible grip and sidewall support even on a Levo SL.
We call the renegade the slipper at the shop.

Glad I could help. The renegades are race day tires

Check out the maxxis ikon tire. Saves weight over the butcher but still has decent sidewall support for emtb. I run them on my Levo and like them a lot in dry and loose over hard conditions.
