Yes the bigger battery (630) for the 2021 don’t fit the 2020 limited Merida e160 it’s slightly longer. So I guess shimano won’t be releasing a larger battery to fit the older bikes

I read that Merida haven't changed the frame from the 2020 version, so it should be technically possible to fit the larger battery.

Doubt it as the XS comes with the 504wh battery since the new one is too long.
