I've learned some things about the Roval wheels that came with my 2019 Turbo Levo Carbon Expert.
I also learned that the rim tape only appeared to be in place. It had lost nearly all of its stickiness.
I really like the bike (a lot!) and I don't want to kick off another "let's bash Spesh" thread, but it's a little disappointing that the wheels on a high-ish spec bike have these shortcomings. I've ordered new wheels with DT Swiss EX 511 rims, I9 Hydra hubs, 32 spokes, *brass* nipples, and 2.0/1.8/2.0 spokes.
Thanks to Covid, I may see them by August.
- Rear spoke length is the same on both sides because the non-drive side flange has a bigger diameter.
- Rear spokes are 282 mm, J-bend, 2.0/1.6/2.0 double butted (kinda light duty for an ebike).
- Spoke tension spec is 1100-1200 Newton for both sides per email from Roval.
- Nipples are aluminum (boo! This is what led to me replacing all the spokes)
- 28 spokes
