I bought a trail bike with 140mm suspension. It's awesome but I find I'm pushing the suspension limits because I've started doing jumps and drops. I have the forks at 25% sag, but I'm bottoming out on drops etc. I don't want to go too harsh - where I ride isn't smooth. I'm not familiar or too interested in the internals of the fork etc and how it works. I found this comment while doing a search for tokens:
"You need less tokens and more air pressure. The way to prevent diving on moco forks is high initial pressure, so less tokens helps achieve full travel. The moco works best wide open with excessive spring pressure... It's a huge compromise. "
I think "moco" is MOtion COntrol damper, which is what the gold rl uses. So the comment seems to be specific to any fork using a motion control damper.
Can anybody advise me on this? Is the comment correct? Would I be better off running 20% sag or getting a token and staying with 30% sag?
