Rock shox 35 gold

I have a pair of rock shox 35 golds on my cube stereo hpc race and I’m not really sure what the make of them.
The first thing I noticed was the amount of flex when looking down and the front wheel.
There’s also a horrible sucking sound when the front wheel lifts up.
Is this the norm with this fork? My previous bike and a 120 mm lefty Which was fantastic so I’ve probably been a bit spoiled.
