road 30k with a fast group then did 50k on own pic's

hello all

the turbo levo comp carbon a bit dusty in the pic's, as early this morning I went for a 30k ride with a fast group, but no time to take pic's then as we don't stop. then I road 50k on my own to get pic's to post.

thank's mate,
no did the 30k in morning , put second spare battery in put other battery on charge, always do that, after I read a post on the subject. seems to work for me as battery does not log a charge. if I ran it right down to empty it would.

smashing out the km , nice. and amazing country. Do you have an interesting looking stem on ur Levo?

thank's tmacca, the stem , I just wanted the bar up higher, for comfort also helps over soft sand, gets weight off front wheel.

80k on a single charge?

rob also note, one pic of my bike you can see the power lights on, that was after riding 20km mix of hills dirt roads and single tracks plus some paved.

hi, it feel's really good on soft sand!
I was with a group of experienced riders they all ride at a good pace & don't stop often. was one other turbo levo that had 29" wheels the rest mixture of mountain bikes a few full carbon light weights. I was only one that could ride on soft sand the rest had to get down near waterline with waves coming in. I was able to ride halfway up the beach. was a long beach too. we had to ride to the end then up into the bush following single tracks. I put my bike into a higher gear hit the button that changes power setting twice, to select turbo and went over the soft sand at a good speed, felt easy. all my past mountain bikes I could never do that. sometimes if I got my speed up over the wet hard packed sand, then went into the soft sand I could go over it but was not easy as wheels would sink in & hard to steer. but this bike I can start off on soft sand.
very happy with this bike!

Where I live we can drive on the beach (Rainbow Beach) always wanted to ride the bike along it.
As soon as I get a plus tyre e-mtb it will be one of my first trips.. Miles and miles of beach backed by multi coloured sand cliffs. Might even take it for a ride on Fraser Island and outrun some Dingo's. :D

I know rainbow beach, beautiful spot!
I was up near there may/june , road a motor bike from cairns home.
the tyres my specialised comp carbon came with where 27.5" x 2.8" think good for mud, I road with them along that beach. but they did not roll fast down hill, only reason I noticed is I had a 2016 comp ht fatty turbo levo, that had 3.0 x 27.5" before and the tyres on that ( very low pressure ) could roll downhill with the best of them. so as I had a new spare set, I put them on the 2018 comp carbon I went tubeless run 12psi front 15psi rear, and it rolls a lot faster & further downhill also rides really smooth over the rough stuff.
