I've got a wired headlight on my 23 Rise. The default setting for power to the headlight is "off" and there is no way to toggle it on using the iPhone E-Tube app. In order to get the power button on the remote to work I had to take it in to a shop with the Windows software to toggle the setting in the firmware to turn the headlight function on. My question is, if I now update to the latest firmware using the iPhone E-Tube app will that setting persist or would I need to go back the the shop and have it toggled on again?
If I've got to go through the Windows process again the nearest shop with the software was over an hour away and charged about $20. Add that to fuel and a $20 ferry toll round trip and it wouldn't be worth a firmware upgrade that just describes itself as "bug fixes".
