Riding eMTB in winter

Taking first steps on my way to own an eMTB. I do a lot of riding in winter and would like to learn how your bikes handle the challenges of winter: how much the range drops in lower temps (up to -25 celsius), deep snow riding, snow melting and getting inside the vital components and resistance to the reagent muck - this brownish stuff they use to melt snow and ice in winter, wonder if you get any problems with this stuff.

I use mine everyday in any condition for a long commute. Now I did get to use it in some snow here in surrey a few weeks ago and the salt they put on the road is renowned for corroding parts.

I use a product called ACF50 and use a paint brush to put it on my cassette, chainring, underside of the motor (I'm using a Levo) and then use a smaller brush for all my bolts. Don't get it on your rotors or in your calipers or you'll be dead when you plan on trying to stop!

I have ridden my Levo through water multiple times that submerges the motor and it still seems good so far.... :p

Again, I have left my bike outside for a whole day when I was at work when it was snowing and I personally didn't notice a difference in performance. But I know that colder temperatures can cause the battery to drain more quickly - hence why manufacturers recommend storing your bike/battery at room temperature but it is not always possible or practical. :)

Range is not taking too big a hit in my experience. But I only ride trails in the winter. Hard packed snow and ice. Studded tires. Insane fun. Every trail get bike park smooth.
I don’t ride on the roads at all in winter as they use a lot of salt to keep the roads free of ice and snow.
