Hi, I’m in the process of replacing my Sram SX shifter and mech to a Shimano XT shifter and mech on a 12 speed Rail 9.5
The Shimano shifter seems to have a slightly thicker inner cable. Having threaded it through the original outer it is not sliding smoothly, lots of resistance, so the derailleur is not down shifting.
So, I guess I need to replace the outer with the Shimano one that came with the new shifter
What’s the procedure to do this? Looks like the motor needs to come out and then the outer needs routing around the bottom bracket and rear through the chain stay.
Any tricks or guides I can follow - any tips would be great! Thank you in advance
