Regular Speed Sensor Damage on my 2019Trance SX Pro

Hi fellow bikers. I'm having a mare of a time with damage regularly happening (3 in 4mths) to the speed sensor, on the swing arm of my Trance SX Pro. Any others having similar issues? I feel it a real design issue and I see other manufacturers fitting back further , with the magnets on the rotor mounts. Has anyone attempted this shift, and would being on the smaller rotor diameter (as apposed to the wheel) create issues with the controller (eg - run slower)?
Anyone fitted a protective sleeve or clamped a bar (prouder than sensor)?

Is the sensor being hit by debris or is the cable getting damaged?

I found this image via Google and the sensor mounting is no different to what's been used for years on loads of ebikes but the cable looks like it could be routed a better way to avoid it hanging down and flexing with suspension movement.

On my Haibike I've used extra cable ties to help tuck the cable out of harms way;

Hi Jackware, thanks for your reply. It's debris (sticks mainly) for sure & after a couple of unsuccessful reinstalls from authorised LBS, I did third one myself checking with shock off to be sure. I have NO probs with cable catching, as all along triangle it's tied + taped. Only movement in cable is now back under motor protector cover. It just seems very exposed & if it was an alloy sensor cover or even though rubber, there'd be some chance of longevity when knocked?
