The "waist" I am referring to here is that part of your body just above your hips which may or may not be smaller than your hips!!
I always wear UA shorts as a first layer ....obviously with a waist band. If I then wear armoured shorts and trail shorts that makes 3 items all with waistbands. Armoured shorts complete with chamois are quite heavy and tend to slip down somewhat especially the more time is spent stood on the pedals.
So....my solution!
I have started ysing an Endura bib liner which has their 550 series chamois....and obviously no waist band. Then for rides where I want to use hip/thigh armour I discovered that G-Form sell pads you merely slip between your leg and ( in my case) my UA compression shorts.
The result is everything stays in place!
