Recommended Batteries for DIY project

Anyone have a recommendation for batteries with a good reputation of not catching on fire? Not interested in making my own. Some brand, like Bafang, that has ore skin in the game than someone welding up bats in the garage?

I've had good batteries from em3ev and electron cycles if that's any help
