Levo Gen 2 Recommend me a derailleur please

Hi, I need to replace the 9 speed shimano Alvio derailleur on my HT and would also like to upgrade it to a better model, what would you recommend and can I still use the same shift lever? Thanks..

you can use the same shifter if you replace with a shimano 9 speed derailleur
