Going on Thursday and no idea how far the 540 battery will take me, hopefully 5 climbs.

Had anyone ever recharged on site and how did it work ? Do you have to book ?

Thinking that perhaps 1 hour recharge over lunch may give me another 2 climbs.

Thanks. Nick

It's £5 for any length of time. I don't know if they have any Shimano chargers so it would be best to take your own charger.

We did 5 climbs and sessioned Popty Ping a few times. Mostly in Tour mode and my Bosch 625Wh died about 1KM from the top on the last climb.

Cheers. Are there different ways of going up? I have never done the Beast thing on the acoustic as I cycled up the uplift road. I just wonder which is most energy efficient.

We only use the last bit of Beast of Burden to get to the top, we use fireroads for the rest of it.

No. You start Beast of Burden but almost immediately turn right up a steep rough climb. At the top of that turn left until and follow the fire road to a t junction. Left again, passing Hot Stepper and Popty Ping and eventually turn right onto a sandy track and rejoin BoB for the final section to the top.
