Rear wheel lock up... could not see reason why

I was riding my new rise h30 up the single track local trail when the rear wheel locked up. I was not going too fast but was clipped in and as it was unexpected i landed on butt. Prob is i could not see why... no stick in wheel, no jammed brake... nothing. Has anyone had this before. I had just 10 min early done some see saws, so lucky it did not lock up there.

I had just had a bike fit the day before that required pedalling on a trainer (with no motor assist ) but surely that would not cause rear wheel to lock

Any advise or similar experience appreciated. If a motor "locks" does not the wheel just free-wheel ???

If the motor stops the free wheel still spins. Something got caught in the brake rotor maybe?

Must have been something that lodged in wheel or rotor but fell out during crash.
