RE-buildable batteries, not very compatible with most of our bikes though

This is a nice idea. Bulky, but for where it's intended, not an issue. Might be compatible with some of the older external battery bikes ???

That’s a great idea, hopefully they might move on to the integral batteries at some point👍

No chance. They've all got propriety software to tie you in to the manufacturer.

I saw that and it does open up the opportunity to revive older model, pre-integrated and sophisticated architecture, ebikes that only need a battery revival to keep them from the landfill, or worse a pile of sparking electronic crap in some third world country with children scrambling over it getting PCB'd to get enough coin to help feed their starving family....

I'm all for anything that can or is being done to prolong the life of whatever is being manufactured personally. This buy new cast away at a loss only slightly used in order to have the newest "technology" is getting out of hand. Seriously does it really make a difference if you have a slightly lighter bike, one with more power, one with more more or less less? One degree difference in geometry or another few mm of travel? Just be good with what you got and get out there.
