First roost under a smokey Sydney sky. Thing is mint! Super playful, hops over everything you want, new gen motor quieter, just unreal. Motor is signing off at 27.3km/hr which I guess is better than 25 (would love 32 though!).
As some of you know I agonised over bike choice. I couldn't ride this actual model but rode the Powerfly to get a feel for the Bosch, and a Fuel EX + Slash to get a feel for the size, geo and 29er-age. I adored the Fuel EX actually, and luckily this has the same feel. I was concerned the larger wheels would want to be pinned to the dirt and not in the air like I like, but this thing is happy to fly. Bunnyhop up gutters with ease. It feels super light for an eMTB.
Upgrades on this Rail 7 include converting to a full XT drivetrain (including rotors), WTB saddle, Oury grips, and fitted a few strips of PRO tape to the frame. Haven't converted to tubeless yet, just seeing if I like the tyres and if so will pop in the valves and sealant, if not will be trying the Dissector rear, Mary front combo. Also have ideas of fork cartridge upgrade but these Yaris are feeling super plush.
