Hi,
Anyone using cage and bottle ? Seems my old ones does not fit the Rail.
The rear shox air canister is hitting the lower part of the bottle and the front of the bottle is colliding with the frame.

so seems I need a cage which fits a little higher and a smaller bottle. Anyone has a cage and bottle which work with the Rail ?

Or any other setup of riding without a backpack would be nice. On short rides 1-2 hours where I can fill the bottle on the track I prefer not to carry a backpack.

I use the Fidlock system with the 450 bottle, I find I don't drink anywhere near as much water on the Rail as what I do on my other normal bike

Do you use the one with the UNIVERSAL FRAME ADAPTER ? which connect with straps to the frame or the one with the screw in set ?

I use a YT Thirstmaster 4000 fidlock bottle (600ml bottle), and a Wolftooth B-Rad 2 mount to adjust the position a bit

hey. yep, i had the same issue.
The piggy back canister on the shock hit the brink bottle just busted the bottom of my drink bottle.
im using a bontrager side load bottle cage (in its highest position) and the bottle was a 600Ml M20 (camelbak podium equivalent)
trek rail 9 XL
now trying to either re-think the mount, or find a bottle with a bigger bevel on the bottom. maybe the Wolftooth B-Rad 2 mount might do the trick.

Has anyone had much success on this?
I'm having a 'mare trying to get it right. Using a Bontrager side loader with the adjustment holes filed longer and elite fly 550ml bottle but the shock res is still slightly catching the bottom of the bottle! Trying to find a smaller bottle or one with a chamfered bottom at the moment? Maybe the wolftooth offset thing will give the 5-7mm clearance I need?

TBH pal i gave up & got a hipbag. I was 1/2 way round Dalby Forest & it had rubbed a hole in the bottom of my bottle so i gave up. I prefer the bag as i can put my multi tool & phone in.

I’m using a Bontrager Sideloader Cage with an Elite 500ml Bottle and I’ve heated and moulded the bottom to miss the Shock Canister.

Also using a Dakine Waist pack that can hold another water bottle for longer rides.

I ride a 9.7 small, the only thing I could find that fits is the YT Thirstmaster 2000. It side entry that helps, but it's very awkward to pull out and put back in while riding. The bottle is just kind of weird shape, but at least I can carry some water.
