I bought a 500w BBS02B and 48v 17ah battery to put on my department store mountain bike and I gotta admit I love my new baby motorcycle. I've used the programming cable to reduce the start current % so it is a bit less jumpy when the motor kicks in, but other than that I am wary to change any settings because I've read the 250w and 500w models share a controller, and the 750/1000w share a beefier controller.
However, looking at the drive the other day the model on the controller module says CR R029.750.... is this referring to the wattage of the controller? Did the BBS02B's get an upgrade or is this just the model number of the 500w controller? I'm not really in need of any extra speed but it would be nice to know I have the option in the future to increase my motor amperage.
