Question about servicing Marzocchi Z1 Bomber...

I've got all the parts and oils I need to service the lowers of my 2020 Marzocchi Z1 Bomber.

While the forks are apart, I plan on checking and regreasing the air spring.

The Z1 appears to be based on the Fox 36, and the Fox 36 service guides recommend 3cc of 20wt Gold oil in the air chamber.

Just to check, I went to the Marzocchi section of the Fox web site

Here they list the spec and quantities of oil required:
They specify:
40cc of 5wt Teflon oil in the damper side
and
10cc of 20wt Gold oil in the air side.

They mention 5cc of Gold oil in the *coil* chamber but this doesn't apply to me as I have an air spring.

So should I just ignore the Fox service guide that requires 3mm of oil in the air chamber, and just oil the bath areas?

Hi, I did mine last week. Noticed the same anomaly. Added the 3ml on top of the piston and the fork feels amazing. I think better than before but obviously it’s going to feel great after a service anyway. I still greased up the air piston and shaft as normal but added the oil as figured it can’t do any harm sat on top of the piston.
Hope this helps
